hey everyone! well, i'm finally back home in los angeles for a little bit after a few weeks out on the road. i love to travel, but it can get tiring sometimes. i want to thank all of you who came out and saw me while i was on the east coast last week. it's always great to see some familiar faces and meet some new ones as well. you guys make all of the work and travel worthwhile. for those of you who may not know, i did some acoustic performances that we'll be posting on the website for you all to check out. some of you will recognize patience, but we also did another new song from the record call "good in goodbye". it's just a little taste of what's to come! the buzz also continues to grow about the song i did with kara dioguardi called "temporary". this is my favorite track on the album and i can't wait for you all to hear it. i also hope you all are enjoying her on american idol. she's doing a great job.
as some of you may have heard, i'm going to be on the show "one tree hill". i just shot the first episode this past monday in wilmington, nc. i have to say that everyone in the cast and on the crew were awesome to work with. it was a lot of fun to do some tv again! you guys will have to keep an eye out for the episode when it airs. i will be performing the song "all in my head" in the first episode and then be appearing in a second episode as well. i'd love to tell you what happens, but you'll have to wait to see it for yourselves! trust me, it'll be worth watching!
also, you have heard me mention a show that i created and produced with mtv. i want to let you all know that the show is called "taking the stage" and it's premiering on mtv march 19th at 10et. there will be 10 episodes in the series. this show is awesome and i know you all are going to like it. it actually takes place at the school where drew, justin, and i all went and learned the performing arts. check it out march 19th!
well, the song patience continues to grow at radio. every week we see more radio stations beginning to play it. up until know, most of the stations have been older AC stations, but in a couple weeks, the pop stations are going to start adding it as well. you all have done a great job in requesting it so far, but i need you to keep it up, especially as it goes to pop radio. this is a really important time for the single and for the album. please don't ever underestimate the impact you all can have in influencing radio with your calls and requests! they DO listen to you all. please know that i appreciate it. i'll be hitting the road again soon for more promotion and as always, i hope to see some of you along the way. check the calendar for where i'll be and if i'm in your area, come out and say hello. until then, take care and be well.
