Nick Lachey Is Real-Life Wedding Singer
When Torque actor Will Yun Lee married actress Jennifer Birmingham, he enlisted the help of a few celebrity friends to mark the occasion.

With bridesmaids Vanessa Minnillo, Kate Beckinsale and The Price is Right's Rachel Reynolds on one side of the aisle, and groomsmen Joe Hahn from Linkin Park, Ryan Martin from APA and director Len Wiseman on the other, the couple exchanged vows in front of 200 guests in Shreveport, La.

"The best moment of our wedding was having everyone we love in one place at the same time, sharing our day with us," Lee tells PEOPLE.

The bride wore a custom gown by Carlyn Calloway and carried a bouquet of white roses as she walked down a lantern-lit aisle.

At the reception, Nick Lachey took to the stage and serenaded the newlyweds with a few songs. His performance included the couple's first dance to Eric Clapton's "Wonderful Tonight" and Stevie Wonder's classic "Signed, Sealed, Delivered, I'm Yours."

"Nick sang one of our all time favorite songs, 'Wonderful Tonight,' " says Lee. "But he changed up some of the lyrics to make it really personal. It was amazing."

The wedding reception, planned by event planner Nealy Digilormo, included a photo booth with fun costumes and Southern Maid Donuts as a late-night snack.

"We love being married," says Lee. "And now [Jennifer] can legally boss me around."

Birmingham currently plays Alison on The Young and the Restless. Lee, who co-starred on NBC's TV series Bionic Woman, will next be seen in the action feature Red Dawn.

During last season, the four December telecasts of "The Sing-Off" averaged a 2.5 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49 and 7.3 million viewers overall. The December 21 finale attracted NBC's biggest overall viewership in the time period in more than three months.

Returning celebrity judges Ben Folds who recently released the CD “Lonely Avenue,” a collaboration with novelist Nick Hornby, Shawn Stockman and Nicole Scherzinger will critique each performance, narrowing down the finalists to the top three groups competing for America’s vote.

Returning for a special performance will be Nota, the winner of the show’s freshman season in 2009.

In conjunction with the second season of “The Sing-Off,” Epic Records will be releasing digital tracks of each group’s performance immediately following the airing of each episode. All 10 competing groups from the upcoming season will also be featured on “The Sing-Off: Harmonies for the Holidays” being released by Epic Records on November 30.

Nota has distinguished itself among a cappella groups with its fusion of various musical styles evident in its self-titled debut album, to be released in November 2, 2010. They are currently wrapping up Shakira’s Sale el Sol U.S. tour where they performed as the opening act to rave reviews and incredible reactions. Their album includes R&B and pop influences blended with Latin rhythms like mereingue, bachata, and samba, which create a sound that is unique and original. The sextet takes a new approach to familiar songs, covering “I Gotta Feeling,” “Down,” “I Need to Know” and “My Girl,” as well as original songs written by the group.”

“The Sing-Off” is produced by Tenth Planet Productions, Outlaw Productions and Sony Pictures Television. Joel Gallen, Deb Newmyer and Sam Weisman are executive producers. Josh Greenberg serves as co-executive producer.

Nick & Jess's Run in at Red O Restaurant

source
Jessica Simpson had Eric Johnson's help last night as they weaved their way out to their car following dinner at LA's Red O restaurant, where her ex-husband, Nick Lachey, was coincidentally eating dinner with his girlfriend and frequent shower buddy, Vanessa Minnillo. The two couples apparently dined next to each other for hours, but Nick and Vanessa were the first to leave. Eric and Jess are back on the West Coast after a stint in NYC so she could record her upcoming holiday special for PBS. Their Big Apple stay came after a trip farther away visiting with troops stationed in the Arabian Sea. All of Jess's hard work and jet-setting have impressed another of her father Joe's artists, Chris August, who recently gushed about getting to know the singer. He said, "She is obviously incredibly beautiful, but I think what people definitely don't realize is just how down to earth she is. She was always so supportive of my music, and I appreciated it so much. She's definitely funny, down to earth and a typical Texas girl."

Nicks *NEW* Official Blog

SOURCE

Oct 18

Welcome to my new website.

Hey everybody! I wanted to officially welcome you to my new “official” website. This is the place to come to learn everything there is to know about what’s going on in my career and life in general. I will be updating the site as often as I can with blogs, video blogs, pictures, and most importantly……..music. It’s been a busy year so far, so let’s go ahead and get everyone up to speed.

First off, let’s talk about the music! As most of you know by now, the music business has changed dramatically in the last decade. Gone are the days of the music stores when people would line up to buy their favorite singer’s cds as soon as they came out. With the age of the internet, most people these days get their music online. These changes have made the role of the record company change as well. Artists are far less dependant on the record companies to market and sell their music, so we’ve seen a lot of artists take advantage of that and take on the role of being their own record company, so to speak. After being a signed artist for the last 15 years, I am excited to say that I am now one of those people! I have had the pleasure to work with a few different labels over the years. Motown was a legendary place to start my career in music, with so much history and experience. Universal records was a fairly new label when we moved from Motown, and it was exciting to be a part of the success they’ve enjoyed there. Finally, Jive records gave me the chance to do the solo project I had always envisioned and dreamed of and I will be forever grateful to them for that opportunity. However, after many years together, I asked for and was granted, my release from Jive records. This is an incredibly exciting opportunity for me to be in complete control of my music career and do things on my own for the very first time. The bad news is that the album I have been working on for the last 2 years is still the property of Jive and will probably never be released. So, it’s back to the drawing board as they say! I am getting back into the studio now and am working like crazy to get this album done for all of my fans out there! I know you all have been waiting patiently for a while now, but I have to ask you to wait just a little longer. The good news is that I can now control what is released and when, so I’ll be able to give you all more access to the music I’m doing as I’m doing it.

I also want to officially announce that I’m hosting the 2nd season of “The Sing Off” on NBC. It’s going to start airing at the end of November and run through the live finale on December 20th. For anyone who didn’t see the first season of the show, it’s awesome. These groups are incredibly talented and the music is unreal. You guys gotta check it out.

Lastly, I’m proud to announce that my baseball team, the Tacoma Rainiers, won the Pacific Coast League this season! It’s the first time in over 40 years that they’ve won the league title. Congrats to the city of Tacoma and all Rainier fans out there. I’ve been able to do some pretty cool things in my life, but there was nothing like experiencing the champagne and beer shower in the locker room after winning a championship. Awesome!

Well, there’s my little update! Please look out for more to come and bookmark this as the OFFICIAL site for any and all things Nick Lachey. Talk to you guys soon.
