Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey: LAX Jet-Setters
Heading out of town for the weekend, Vanessa Minnillo and Nick Lachey were spotted getting ready for departure at LAX airport on Friday (August 29).
The former Miss Teen USA and her man strolled through the terminal, with Vanessa toting around her pet pooch, Wookie, as they headed towards the security checkpoint.
Paying more attention to her canine companion than her “High School Musical: Get In the Picture” host beau, a source on the scene tells: “Vanessa kissed Wookie and even bit its paw playfully, but Nick was on the receiving end as they argued through the screening process.”
The insider adds: “She (Vanessa) gave him a stare and gave him the puppy dog eyes before they eventually got past the checkpoints and left Los Angeles.”

Olympic Talk Exclusive: Stars Tune In on Beijing *NICK*
Source
HOLLYWOOD - Yelling at the TV, wincing at a wobbly dismount, getting vaklempt as the Olympiad lifts their neck to reveal a shiny new medal...Yup, they're "just like us"--stars are glued to the Olympics too!
In the name of helping you get to know them more, Hollywood.com asked your fave' Summer-Olympics-watchin'-celebs, what gets their blood pumping?
Olympics fan, Nick?
Hollywood.com: What are you looking forward to seeing this Olympics?
Nick Lachey: I love the Summer Olympics. I’d love to see the basketball team fight for the Gold and finally win the Gold again. Baseball. I love track and field. I think some of the more inspirational moments in sports you see during the Olympics. Obviously I’ll be watching Michael Phelps and see how he does, and his quest to break that record [swimming]. There’s a lot of great stories and a lot of great drama to expect there in the games this year.
HW: What Olympic event would you excel in, real or not?
NL: [Laughs] I would win the gold medal in Olympic television watching, should that become an eligible event!

Drew Lachey to Host 'Broadway on Broadway' 9/14
Spamalot's Drew Lachey will host Broadway on Broadway 2008 (www.broadwayonbroadway.com) on Sunday, September 14th at 11:30 a.m., it was announced today by The Broadway League and The Times Square Alliance. Presented by Continental Airlines, the annual free outdoor concert brings together stars and performances from current and upcoming Broadway productions to celebrate the beginning of the new Broadway season. For the event, Times Square will be "shut down" to make room for the 50,000+ attendees. This kickoff to the 2008-2009 Broadway season stretches from 43rd to 47th Streets and fans should arrive early for a good spot.
Mr. Lachey, perhaps best known as the winner of "Dancing With the Stars" and a member of the phenomenally successful pop group 98 Degrees will host a show featuring appearances and performances by stars from upcoming productions such as A Tale of Two Cities, Billy Elliot and 13, A New Musical, as well as some of Broadway's most beloved shows, including Avenue Q, Chicago , Disney's The Little Mermaid, Grease, Gypsy, Hairspray, In The Heights, Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Legally Blonde, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, The Phantom of the Opera, Spring Awakening, [title of show], Wicked, Young Frankenstein, Mr. Lachey's show, Monty Python's Spamalot, and more. All appearances are subject to change.
In addition to great singing and dancing, Broadway on Broadway will conclude with a grand finale: a "shower" of confetti.
This year's Broadway on Broadway will also launch the new Broadway Concierge & Ticket Center, located in the Times Square Visitors Center. Details will follow soon.
"It is an honor to be hosting this year's Broadway on Broadway," commented Drew Lachey. "I am delighted to be a part of the Broadway community and I love this great city. I look forward to showing the Broadway fans from New York and around the world just what we have to offer."
"'You gotta have a gimmick,' someone once wrote, or sang. Closing down Times Square for a free concert of today's and tomorrow's Broadway shows to kick-off the new theatre season is a great beginning," said Charlotte St. Martin, Executive Director of The Broadway League. "At this year's event, we are excited to announce the launch of The Broadway Concierge and Ticket Center. Details will be announced next week."
"The Crossroads of the World once again welcomes theater fans from all over the globe," said Tim Tompkins, President of the Times Square Alliance. "What better host to lead the singing and dancing than Spamalot star and "Dancing with the Stars" winner Drew Lachey."

When you Were Here by Jeff Timmons
you're always on my mind forever and a day
never did i think you would go away from me
but now i cry myself to sleep everytime
so tell me
where do i go when my heart's all alone
and who do i love
when there's no one left to hold
tell me baby before these feeling disappear
'cause they use to be so clear
when you were here
shattered dreams and broken promises
have you forgotten all the things you told me
everything you said
i can never change the way i'm feeling deep inside
i've tried
there's no compromise
i need you in my life
tell me
where do i go when my heart's all alone
and who do i love
when there's no one left to hold
tell me baby before these feelings disappear
'cause they use to be so clear
when you were here
and now it's time for me to face my pride (gotta face my fear inside)
and i don't ever want somebody else
'cause what we have is true
'cause i know you can't be replaced
'cause my heart's an empty space without you
where do i go when my heart's all alone
and who do i love
when there's no one left to hold
tell me baby before these feeling disappear
'cause they use to be so clear
when you were here

Vanessa Minnillo: Nick Said 'I Love You' First
By David Caplan
Originally posted Tuesday August 26, 2008 04:30 PM EDT
Case in point? In Disaster Movie, hitting theaters Friday, Minnillo's cheerleader character just can't get her boyfriend to say "I love you."
"He just can't drop the L-word," Minnillo, 27, tells PEOPLE of her character's commitment-challenged boyfriend. "And what a girl wants more than anything in the world is for their boyfriend to say 'I love you.' "
But, says Minnillo, her real-life beau Nick Lachey, 34, doesn't have any similar hang-ups: "The L-word is not thrown around by men as easily as it is by women – but I didn't say it first! He's very loving. We're very open and vocal."
While Minnillo and Lachey may be in sync when it comes to their love for each other, their attempt to exercise together is not so harmonious.
"We used to work out together, but we stopped," says Minnillo, laughing. "We're doing different things. And the guy runs forever! Like, I swear, he's running 11 miles a day. I can't run. That's the one thing I can't do, because I feel like the further I jog away from my house, the further I have to jog back!"
To read more of Minnillo's interview, pick up this week's PEOPLE, on newsstands Friday.

These songs propelled their second album 98 Degrees and Rising to quadruple-platinum status. In 2006, he released his second solo album entitled What’s Left of Me, which went to #2 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums chart and recently went gold. Plymouth Rox and so does the North End
Louie and I performed @ Plymouth Memorial Hall Saturday and we brought the house down. There were great performances all around: The Funky Bunch tore it up, Shaymin, Melissa, Static Noyze( those dancers killed it!) and Jeff Timmons (98 Degrees) ended the show with a mesmerizing set that wooed all the girls. I met so many amazing people and got to reunite with cousins(Molly!!) and my godmother. With the backstage antics and post-party madness, we definitely had the time of our lives.
Special thanks to my two brothers from another mother Malik Williams and Jeff Kalligheri. Not only do they run the behind the scenes but they always make me laugh when I am nervous to sing. Also a shout-out to Dickie Skinz the MC of the night.
The ladies of Bella Nova also kept it rockin with us. Check their salon out in Foxboro.

JEFF TIMMONS OF 98 DEGREES Live AT PLANET HOLLYWOOD 21st August 2008 10pm
Live AT PLANET HOLLYWOOD
21st August 2008 10pm
JEFF TIMMONS OF 98 DEGREES RETURNS TO MALAYSIA THIS AUGUST FOR AN EXTENSIVE MALAYSIAN CITIES ROAD TOUR and he will performing at Planet Hollywood on 21st August ( Thursday) at 10pm.
Known as the founding member of the multi-platinum selling group 98 Degrees. The group was originally signed to the Motown Label in the mid-1990s. After building popularity with their appearance in the movie Mulan, singing “True to Your Heart”, a duet with label-mate Stevie Wonder, their success broke out in late 1998 with their album 98° and Rising, which included the hit singles “The Hardest Thing” and “I Do (Cherish You)”.
After the first album, 98 Degrees left Motown for its parent company, Universal Records brought such mega hits as “The Hardest Thing”, “I Do”, “Invisible Man”, “Give Me Just One Night” “Because of You” and the number one hit with Mariah Carey “Thank God I Found You”. 98 Degrees’ albums reached gold or platinum status in 15 countries around the world. All four albums released by the group went platinum.
After a stellar career with 98 Degrees, Jeff has single-handedly written and produced his first solo album, released as a joint venture between his own company, Rising Phoenix Media, LLC and SLG Music. The album gave him a Top 20 hit on both the Billboard and Radio and Records charts with the lead off single “Whisper That Way” and was the most added single at radio every week leading up to its peak position. The album also produced 3 more chart topping singles worldwide. His company Rising Phoenix Media, LLC is on the rise as one of the most cutting edge entertainment ventures of the new millennium. It is an independent recording, production, distribution and artist development company that creates visibility for artists using traditional and non-traditional marketing methods.
The album succeeded overseas as well with chart-topping hits in Japan , China and Malaysia . In August 2005, Jeff came for a 12 day Malaysian Promotional Tour. The album “Whisper That Way” featured duets of both “Be The One” and “Over & Over” with local singer Arnieza in August 2005.
Now, 3 years later Jeff makes his way to our shores for another 12 days promotional tour for his forthcoming solo album. The difference this time is that Jeff will be embarking on an extensive three city Malaysian Tour and be doing so via the highways and by-ways of Malaysia .
Jeff will be part of “THE TRAXX fm MERDEKA ROAD TOUR 2008 WITH JEFF TIMMONS OF 98 DEGREES”. From the minute Jeff touch down at KLIA till he leaves, the Traxx FM crew will be following Jeff every step of the way. In a way, Jeff for that 12 days will be TRAXX FM’s travel ambassador and will be experiencing all the various tourist spots in Malaysia like a normal tourists would and sharing the experience live over the airwaves.
Live crosses will be carried out every hour through out the day. It’s a “reality radio” concept of sorts if it can named one. As Jeff travels to each showcase venues, he will be stopping over various Malaysian cities and towns for a sightseeing tour and also meet the fan session at selected tourist and shopping spots. This is the very first time an international artist of Jeff’s superstar stature is embarking on a road tour.

Jeff @ Project Rise, August 7, 2008
International recording artist Jeff Timmons, known as the founding member of the multi-platinum selling group 98 Degrees will join local recording artist Louie Bello, Producer Malik Williams, and Jeff Kalligheri of Dolce Vita Productions on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 11:30 AM at Project RISE in Braintree.
Project RISE is six-week academic and cultural enrichment camp and was started by former NBA guard and Dorchester native Rob Dixon back in 1991 after retiring from professional basketball.
"I am honored to have Jeff and Louie see the value behind the great work we are doing here at Project RISE and have them spend some time with the kids.
As a former professional athlete myself, I know the positive impact those who are in the public eye and have made positive life choices can have on our youth.
Kids aspire to achieve the accomplishments that both Jeff and Louie have had in their careers and their coming here will be a true highlight in all of these children's lives and have a major impact. It is just as important to have folks like Malik and Jeff join us as it gives the kids exposure to the business side of the music world", said Rob Dixon, Executive Director of Project RISE.

Plymouth Rox for free with Jeff Timmons
By Emily Wilcox
Tue Aug 05, 2008, 08:00 PM EDT
With four platinum albums, more than 10 million copies sold and eight top 10 singles, 98 Degrees proved it wasn’t just another boy band.
98 Degrees founding member Jeff Timmons has since gone solo, has written songs for Mariah Carey and is still all about raising temperatures as a TV producer for The World’s Hottest Girl. It may not be the most cerebral foray into the entertainment industry, but it’s clear Jeff Timmons will have a good time. And he’s bringing the fun to Plymouth this weekend. While Timmons will start the search for the world’s hottest girl in Asia, he’ll begin filming the pilot episode here in Plymouth.
At 7 p.m. this Saturday, Aug. 9, Timmons will headline Plymouth Rox Summer Fest at Memorial Hall in a lineup that includes The Funky Bunch, Dre Robinson and Louie Bello.
The key word here, folks, is the concert is free.
Rich Cronin was originally scheduled to perform but won’t be able to due to illness, hence the concert freebie.
Timmons will also be filming for his TV show during Saturday’s concert, when some lucky girl wins the chance to be serenaded on stage.
“We’ll be filming the audience and giving people a chance to get on TV,” Timmons said. “We’re just going to make it like a big party.”
98 Degrees signed with Motown in the mid 1990s when it started cranking out hits like “True to Your Heart,” “The Hardest Thing” and “I Do (Cherish You).”
Timmons has since launched a solo career, releasing the CD Whisper That Way in 2004, and is enjoying his work as a TV producer with Boston’s Dolce Vita Productions.
“The last song I wrote was for Jordon Knight,” Timmons said. “‘Where is Your Heart Tonight?’ was number 15 on the top 20.”
He said he’s sharing the stage Saturday with some amazing talent.
Meanwhile, film from Saturday’s concert could be aired on national TV, so folks attending the concert might become part of the reality show as Timmons woos a member of the audience.
The World’s Hottest Girl has been picked up by a major network, Timmons said, and will feature naturally pretty girls of any race, creed, color or size. And there won’t be a judging panel.
“Whatever town we’re in, the people there will vote on it,” he said. “The winners in the different cities will attend a big party and become the cover girl of a magazine.”
Rob Young of Digital Media Services, which manages the hall for the town, says they’re expecting other special guests as well. “We are billing it as, ‘You never know who will show up,’” he said.
When Cronin was forced to cancel, Young said, he was faced with two options: Cancel the show or make good with the town. And every performer stepped up to the plate, Young said, offering to play for free or a mere fraction of their usual fees.
“Now the event is free to patrons,” Young said. “This is pretty amazing considering these artists have sold over 20 million records combined. These guys are all heroes in my eyes, and I hope the town shows up and cheers them on.”
If you’d prefer early admission to the hall and the guarantee of a seat, you can still purchase a $10 ticket online at www.MemorialHall.com.
