We’ve seen a bit of a boy band resurgence in recent years — groups like the Backstreet Boys are kicking off new tours and *NSYNC reunited, albeit briefly, at the recent VMAs.

One boy band star, Drew Lachey of 98 Degrees, stopped by The Couch to talk about the group’s reunion — and one of his non-musical endeavors.
September 17 is National Buckle Up For Life Day – a moment in time to make car passenger safety a top priority and remind parents that car crashes are the No. 1 killer of children in the U.S. between the ages 1 -12.
To help educate parents on car seat safety, 98 Degrees singer and father of two Drew Lachey is partnering with Buckle Up for Life (BUFL), a national injury prevention initiative developed by Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and Toyota.
BUFL is one of several projects that Drew is currently taking part in. Along with fatherhood, he just wrapped up a summer tour with 98 Degrees — a reunion of sorts as the group hit the road with Boyz II  Men and New Kids On The Block.
“It was fantastic,” Lachey said of the tour. “It was just a lot of fun to be out there and the fans were amazing, selling out arenas.”
Of course, the members have aged a little bit — but the fans were “strikingly similar.”
“It’s a little different now than it was 15 years ago when we did it last. Everybody was able to bring their families out on the road – we had our car seats out on the road,” he joked.

Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey Celebrate Camden's 1st Birthday

It's hard to believe that Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey have been parents for a full year. The 98 Degrees singer and the Dads star celebrated son Camden's first birthday on Thursday, Sept. 12. The party started a day early, with Drew Lachey and his wife gifting their nephew an assortment of cupcakes.

 Vanessa shared a picture of the sweet treats via Twitter on Wednesday, Sept. 11. "In Cincy for Cam's 1st Bday tomorrow," she captioned. "Talk about a #WelcomeHome! Thanks! Uncle @DrewLachey Aunt @LeaLachey1."


On Camden's actual birthday, Vanessa tweeted a picture of her son's adorable outfit. "Thank You ALL for Cam's 1st B-day wishes & Love! U guys are the BEST! Check out his onesie!" she wrote, referencing the "Made in Ohio" screen-print design. "It's true, haha!"


Nick also tweeted about the momentous occasion, writing, "Celebrating one year in the life of the most amazing little boy @VanessaLachey and I could have ever imagined!! Happy 1st birthday Camden!!"
Though Vanessa has already shed the 65 pounds she gained while pregnant with her firstborn, she recently cautioned other new moms to be patient about their own progress. "Don't put pressure on yourselves, moms," she said during an E! News interview. "You just had a human being, and you're beautiful, and when it happens, it happens, and you get back in those jeans and it's awesome!"

Jeff Timmons from 98 Degrees to host male musical revue

Fresh off his "Package Tour" with Boyz II Men and New Kids on the Block, Jeff Timmons has a new venture in the works, a docu-series entitled "Men of The Strip."

A founding member of the Grammy-nominated pop group 98 Degrees, Timmons teamed up with Glenn Packard, an Emmy-nominated choreographer, in an effort to find the "hippest" and "hottest" male entertainers, as indicated by its official website. Timmons will serve as host of this male musical revue. The show will follow Timmons and Packard as they travel to such places as Las Vegas, Miami, New York and Los Angeles, where they will search some of the most talented male entertainers who will compete to become "The Men of The Strip." In addition to their chiseled physiques, these men are also 'rock stars,' several of which have interesting life stories. Clearly Jeff Timmons enjoyed his stint with the Chippendales. The 98 Degrees singer in partnership with Glenn Douglas Packard are creating a new male revue show in Las Vegas called The Men of The Strip. The two met when Timmons was brought on board to host and sing at the Chippendales show at The Rio. They promise their multi-faceted show will take on a more youthful approach and take sexy to a whole new level which will include singing, dancing and even Cirque du Soleil acrobatic elements.

“I proposed all sorts of ideas to update their brand, and suggested ways to mainstream it via calendars in all the retail outlets and extra media exposure,” he says. “But the producers didn’t feel the need for such growth. They were happy with their successful residency in Vegas. That’s when Glenn, Mike and I decided to join forces and launch a new male revue our way.” – Jeff Timmons to Broadway World.

The full stage show is still being developed but that isn’t stopping the boys from promoting it. They’ve begun marketing a sexy 16-month 2014 calendar with a bonus centerfold poster which is available on their website.
Speaking of their website, each of the studs are featured with a brief bio, questionnaire and plenty of pics including baby ones. Awwww, how cute. Each stud is also armed with a nickname.
