A room full of love! When creating the nursery her 10-month-old son, Phoenix, calls home, Vanessa Lachey “wanted a room he could grow into,” the Dancing With the Stars contestant reveals exclusively to Us Weekly.
Lachey worked with celebrity nursery and kids’ space designer Vanessa Antonelli to create a “masculine rustic room with soft touches” inside the Los Angeles home she shares with hubby Nick.
Family of Five
Nick and Vanessa also share 5-year-old son Camden and 2-year-old daughter Brooklyn.
Mommy Moment
Vanessa tells Us baby Phoenix is “an old soul. We’ve had a special connection since day one.
Home Sweet Home
Working with Antonelli was “easy,” Vanessa tells Us. “She sent over the first mood board and I said, ‘Yes!’”

Playing Outside
A small outdoor patio off the nursery is “the perfect place for the kids to play together,” Antonelli tells Us.
Highly Customized
Antonelli gifted all three kids with personalized wooden toys, says Vanessa, so Camden and Brooklyn “weren’t left out.

So Sentimental
Framed coordinates represent Necker Island (where Nick and Vanessa wed in 2011), Phoenix’s birthplace (Los Angeles) and Nick’s hometown of Cincinnati.
Logging Memories
“I wanted a room he could grow into,” Vanessa reveals. Instead of designing a “baby room,” she opted for “pieces he can use for a long time.”
