New Kids, Boyz II Men & 98 Degrees Talk 'Package Tour'

SOURCE
By

For Donnie Wahlberg it's not a matter of why now, rather "why not?" The recording artist-turned-actor was referring to the news of a major tour with his New Kids on the Block, who'll be joined this summer on "The Package Tour" by 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men.
The tour kicks off May 31 in Uncasville, Conn. and ends July 13 in Minneapolis.
"The state of the boy band union is strong," Wahlberg joked Tuesday. "Even though technically we're not really boy bands, but we're OK with that, so we'll accept it."
The three bands sold millions of records in the 1980s and '90s and helped usher in a wave of vocal groups that continues today.
The Boston-based NKOTB formed in 1984 and amassed ten Top 20 hits. They broke up in 1994 but got back together after a 14-year hiatus. Wahlberg said he feels the break coincided with the maturation of their fan base.
"They needed time to have families and husbands and children and get jobs and live their life," Wahlberg said.
But now he sees his band's music as a complement to the fans' adult lives.
"We created an outlet for them to feel good about themselves and tap into that youthfulness that had been put to bed for a long time ... you may be 40, but the euphoria of it makes you feel 14 all over again," Wahlberg said.
The band also announced a new single, "Remix (I Like The)," which will be released Jan. 28, and a new album, "10," which is out April 2.
That music will be a bit more mature than some of the band's previous material, member Joey McIntyre said.
"It is about the decisions that a grown man makes and goes through, as opposed to singing songs like 'Popsicle,'" he said.
Nathan Morris, one of the members of Boyz II Men, known since the early 1990s for such hits as "I'll Make Love to You" and "End of the Road," said the tour is going to be all about performing.
"If the boy band thing is attached, it's wonderful, but for all of us in here, we're ready to get out there and sing and perform," he said. "That's just what we do."
Though 98 Degrees is the youngest group on the bill, it has been apart the longest, 12 years.
"So we're excited to get back together and doing what we do," member Nick Lachey said. "We feel reinvigorated by our bond and by our group, so we're very excited by that."
Wahlberg, who stars as Detective Danny Reagan on the CBS television series "Blue Bloods," about several generations of a family of New York City police officers, said the boy bands' tour, kicking off May 31 in Uncasville, Connecticut, and continuing into July with more than 30 dates, is going to be "great."
"You have three acts that have lots of records, lots of fans," he said. "Fans that are anxious to sing those records and anxious to sing other bands' records, too."

Vanessa and Nick Lachey: Sweet New Family Photo With Baby!

SOURCE

nick-lachey-vanessa-lachey-baby

This melts our hearts.
Earlier today, Vanessa Lachey announced to her 125,000 Twitter followers that her new website is up and running. And though we’re very happy for the TV personality, it was the sweet family photo she shared on the website that immediately sucked us in.
“This is a place where I can share it all with you, from the nitty-gritty details of becoming a mother to inspirational tales of personal growth to the latest health, beauty and style tips,” she writes before posting the must-see photo.
Vanessa, 32, looks like one of the happiest moms we’ve ever seen as she holds her 4-month-old baby—dressed in a cute onesie—and nuzzles his face to hers. Hubby and proud papa, Nick Lachey looks on as he has his left arm placed around his blushing beauty’s shoulders.
The pair, who married in July 2011, welcomed their baby boy Camden on Sept. 12.
And it seems the duo love their little man so much, they fight over who gets to hold him more!
"I get to nurse him, but whenever I’m not nursing, Nick wants him,” Vanessa has shared. “He just can’t get enough. He changes diapers, he does half the chores in the house, [and] he does laundry. I can’t complain!”
Right before becoming a father, Life & Style chatted with Nick, 39, who was so excited for parenthood.
"I'm ready to take it all on," he told Life & Style. "It's a once in a lifetime experience, so you want to take every piece of it in and relish it and enjoy it. I'm just excited for it to be here."
Now that his band, 98 Degrees, is going on tour with New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men, we can only imagine how much he’s going to miss his li’l dude.
But with Vanessa’s site in full force, we’re excited to see the other photos she’ll share!

Vanessa Minnillo: How I Told Nick Lachey I Was Pregnant With Baby Camden

SOURCE
BY JOYCE CHEN

Oh baby baby! In a recent blog entry on her new websiteVanessa Lachey (nee Minnillo) reveals just how she shared her pregnancy news with husband Nick Lachey on a fateful day in January 2012.
The Wipe Out host, 32, explained that she and Nick, 39, had been trying for a baby shortly after they tied the knot on July 15, 2011. Six months into their marriage -- and with no pregnancy in sight -- the pair decided to just "let go" for a bit, relax together on a big family vacation to the Bahamas, and try again after they were a bit more settled.
Then, Vanessa writes, something miraculous happened. After filming an appearance in NYC on Live With Kelly on Jan. 5, 2012, her "mother's intuition" told her to take a pregnancy test that evening. And, as it turned out, the TV host was pregnant.
Nick Lachey with Vanessa and baby Camden
"It was such a beautiful moment," she remembers. "The only thing missing was my husband, of course. But Nick was already in the Bahamas with the whole family waiting for me. I knew I had to wait to tell him in person. I wanted to look into his eyes when I said: 'I'm pregnant.'"
The next day, after landing in the Bahamas, Vanessa recalls that she pulled Nick out of the house for a stroll on the beach, and that's where she broke the news.
"I took a deep breath, grabbed his hands, looked him in the eyes and told him 'I'M PREGNANT!!!!'" she writes. "He looked at me and asked if I was serious. I said yes, we hugged, and then he said, 'I think I have to sit down!' That was January 6th, 2012." The couple welcomed Camden into the world on Sept. 12, 2012.

One year later, the family of three -- now with Camden, 4 months, revisited the same Bahama beach where Vanessa shared her pregnancy news. In an adorable family video, the happy parents gush over their little bundle of joy and reminisce about that momentous day one year ago.
"One year ago today, you were in my belly and cookin'!" Vanessa coos at Camden as Nick grins at his son. "We love you, baby. We love you!"

SOURCE
richard@rumorfix.com

Boy band 98 Degrees is joining New Kids On The Block on tour this summer and only RumorFixgot some behind the scenes details from 98 Degrees founder Jeff Timmons.
The 39-year-old, who has a 14-month-old daughter, Ariahuna, tells RumorFix, “Instead of hanging with groupies, some of us will be changing diapers!”
Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo will also be taking their four-month-old, Camden John Lachey, on tour. Band member Drew Lachey has a two-year-old, Hudson, and a six-year-old, Isabella. “I think our families will join us,” Jeff says.
The last time the guys toured 10 years ago — they were all in their 20s and many of them were single.
Jeff tells us that after the band famous for “Because of You” had been talking about reuniting for awhile, but now the “timing just felt right.”
“We felt so good this summer performing together [with NKOTB], so we decided to do a full-blown tour.”
The amazing tour also reunites Boys II Men. “It’s exciting for us to be on tour with legends NKOTB and our idols and inspiration Boyz II Men,” Jeff says.
The hunky dad also reveals that the group, that is recording a new album, will perform some of their big hits and some new tunes when they hit the stage in late May.

Nick Lachey, Vanessa Minnillo Step Out With Baby Camden, 4 Months, at LAX

SOURCE
Nick Lachey and his wife Vanessa Minnillo arrive at LAX Airport with their baby boy Camden on Jan 13, 2013
The Lacheys have landed! On Sunday, Jan. 13, while other celebs were running around Hollywood trying to get ready for the Golden Globes, Nick Lachey and wife Vanessa (nee Minnillo) arrived quietly in L.A. with son Camden, 4 months.

The tight twosome grinned as they made their way through Los Angeles International Airport, with the former 98 Degrees boy bander, 39, toting most of the luggage and looking oh-so-normal in jeans, a black V-neck sweater, and a baseball cap. His wife of more than a year, 32, was responsible for carrying the couple's most precious cargo: baby Camden, whom they welcomed in September 2012.

The family landed in L.A. after a flight from Lachey's native Cincinnati, Ohio. "Back in Cincy!!!" his wife tweeted one day earlier. "Taking down our Christmas decorations and eating Skyline Chili Coneys...of course!"
Cam is only 4 months old, but his parents are already eager to instill in him a sense of pride about his roots. Talking with Parade magazine recently about how he spends quality time with his son, Lachey revealed that he was teaching his little boy to root for his hometown football team, the Cincinnati Bengals.

"Now with Camden, he has his own Bengals onesie and the team is 3-1 with him cheering them," the proud papa said in October. "So in the last month, my tradition has been changing him and getting him ready for football at 10 o'clock. Then we sit together and watch. It's awesome."
"It's been a roller coaster, but all good," he added of fatherhood. "It's been incredible to go through for the first time. It's all kind of surreal. Every day is a new surprise or expression. It's a lot of fun. I try to do everything with the baby. I sing to him. I shush him a lot. It's all about spending as much [time] as you can."
