Kings Island raises $200K for breast cancer

SOURCE

A Kings Island campaign to raise money to fight breast cancer raised more money this year than last.

The second annual Kings Island for the Cure campaign has raised more than $200,000 so far this year through the sale of little pink floating Snoopy’s at the 364-acre amusement and water park and online at www.visitkingsisland.com.

Last year, Kings Island reported to raise more than $185,000.

At 5 p.m. Sunday, entertainer and former “Dancing with the Stars” champion Drew Lachey will randomly select one of the Snoopy’s from the park’s fountains on International Street. The owner of that Snoopy will win a brand new 2012 Mustang Convertible, courtesy of Cincinnati Bell, according to Kings Island.

All net proceeds from the Snoopy sales go to the Greater Cincinnati affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
