Singer Nick Lachey Helps Out Local Kids During Holidays

Singer Nick Lachey is taking on a new role this holiday season as one of Santa's elves.

Lachey is teaming up with local radio station Q102 to host a fundraiser at Jefferson Hall in Newport. The event will raise money for Lighthouse Youth Services.

All they ask for is a $10 cash donation or a $10 gift card at the door. While Lachey is not scheduled to perform at the fundraiser, recording artists Missy Higgins and Lesley Roy will take the stage.

The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
