NICK Lachey is enjoying the single life. The former boy-bander showed up with a posse of pals at hotspot Avenue on Tuesday and held court in a corner banquette. "His friends kept trying to dance with girls and bring them over, but most didn't seem interested," laughs a witness. "He ended up leaving by himself." As for Jessica Simpson, Lachey's recently-dumped ex, a spy said, "She's been spending a lot of time hibernating at her parents' home in Encino. She walks around the 'hood and shops by herself for groceries." She only goes out to work, as in the photo at right, where Simpson's in full geisha regalia in Tokyo filming her upcoming reality series "The Price of Beauty," for VH1.
