98 Degrees' Jeff Timmons chatted with Digital Journal about their My2k headlining tour, which will include concerts at Westbury and Coney Island.
Westbury - Regarding their summer headlining tour, Timmons said, "It feels great. Obviously we got the buzz back when we went on tour with Boyz II Men and New Kids on the Block. We are going to get back out there and we are doing a tribute to the TRL era by adding Ryan Cabrera, Dream and O-Town to the bill. They are all great acts with their own followings, and I am super excited about it."
On Aug. 11, 98 Degrees will be playing at the NYCB Theatre at Westbury on Long Island, and six days later, on Aug. 17, they will be at the Coney Island Amphitheater in Brooklyn. "We will be doing all the hits. Sadly, we are not putting out any new music out this time. We'll play all the hits, do some covers and just have fun, and it will be like a party," Timmons said. "I am excited about Coney Island. I believe that's a new venue, and it's supposed to be really nice. I can't wait to see it."
Timmons had nothing but the most gracious remarks for his supportive and loving wife, Amanda. "She is amazing. Amanda is behind a lot of the business decisions and personal decisions that I make in my life. Divine intervention definitely came through for me on that one. She has been the best thing for me. It has been a whole transition for me, so she's my guardian angel on earth," Timmons said.
On June 18, Timmons will be playing a solo show at the Resorts World Casino in New York. "I am excited to get out there. This casino is new as well, and I always like to do my solo material. It's a little bit different than 98 Degrees. Hopefully, I will get to do a longer set than usual up there, but I am certainly excited to be there on my own," he said.
