98 Degrees Reunites On 'Today'

The boys, or should we say the men of 98 Degrees – Justin Jeffre,Drew LacheyNick Lachey and Jeff Timmons – made their first appearance on the Today show (watch all their performances below) after more than ten years. “It’s great to be back together and do what we love to do together on stage. It feels like just yesterday we were doing this the first time around.” Nick Lachey said on the show.
His younger brother Drew says it’s not the same as before, “There’s back pain, throat pain, knee pain, ankle pain, hip pain. Our menu went from like steak and lobster to Metamucil and prune juice.”
The hit-makers opened the show with their 1998 classic “The Hardest Thing,” later performing a medley of hits, including “I Do (Cherish You)” and “Because of You.
After 98 Degrees performs, 36-year-old Lachey says he has about 10 days off before beginning rehearsals forDancing with the Stars All-Stars which premieres September 24 on ABC. He won the show’s second season and wants to show he still has what it takes to be a champion.
“It’s a great opportunity to show that season two, yes, was early on in the show but us champions and early winners can still compete with these new people. They’re talking about how intense the show is now and how much harder it’s gotten and there might be some truth to that, but I kind of take that as a personal challenge for me to come out and represent and do well,” he said.
Good luck Drew!
