Jeff Timmons, 36, founding member of the 1990's pop sensation 98 Degrees hasn't been twiddling his thumbs for the past decade or so, contrary to popular belief. Ranging from being a reality star to creating his debut solo album to working with charitable organizations, Timmons has been quite the achiever and is currently working on expanding his horizons by offering his album FREE via his website. After a one-on-one interview with Timmons, this is what he had to offer.

98 Degrees sold millions of CD's worldwide and it was disappointing to learn that they were disbanding. When asked if there is any talk of a reunion tour, Timmons replied," We've talked about it but its just a matter of time because we are all so busy but we never seem to be in the same place at the same time." After the group decided it was best to go their separate ways, Timmons was not ready to say goodbye to the entertainment world just yet. "I didn't get into the business for music but I ended up falling in love with it", Timmons said. So in 2006, Timmons and other members of pop groups from this era (Bryan Abrams of Color Me Badd, Rich Cronin of LFO and Chris Kirkpatrick of N' Sync) formed a new band on VH1's reality show entitled, "Man Band" as the group Sureshot. When asked if the group was still together, Timmons said, "(laughs) Thanks for bringing that up. The experience was fantastic but it wasn't the best career move." This short lived series proved that bringing an array of talent together is not necessarily a recipe for success.

This winter, Timmons has made the decision to offer his new album to the public for free via his website at www.jefftimmons.com. Although the album is not yet titled and is still in need of mastering and mixing, the end product will be well worth the wait. When asked what sparked this generosity, he said, "I want to give away my product as an advertisement. I want everyone to receive my CD for free, 100% free, but the only thing I ask is that when they go to my website to sign up, they tell three friends about it and hopefully they'll tell three friends and so forth. Our goal is to get one million people listening to the record. We already have over four hundred thousand signed up."

Alongside working around the clock in the studio when he isn't spending time with his beautiful children, giving his love of music to the world is not the only contribution Timmons makes. He is currently working with the St. Jude's Foundation, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatrics Aids Foundation and a foundation for Autism. Giving back to the community is very important to Timmons because he feels overwhelmingly blessed for everything he has received in life and feels that he can do his part to help anyone in need. Timmons said, "Anything I can do to help and give back, I will. I owe it to the universe."

Timmons has truly been blessed through countless avenues in his life and the people who helped and supported the achievement of his dream deserve a slice of the credit. "The group of guys I was with before 98 Degrees are brilliant writers and producers", Timmons said when asked who had been supporting personally and professionally. On a more personal note, " My family always supports everything I do and my dad is an amazing individual and was dead set on me finishing college. When I decided to pursue a career in the entertainment field, my dad was a fantastic, supportive dude because he knew that I was about making big things happen."

Currently, Timmons is still residing in California and remains a single mingle. If you are interested in receiving Jeff Timmons' album 100% free, then log on to his website and sign up to receive the much anticipated album around Christmastime. The only stipulation is that he wants people to tell everyone about this album so all you have to do is tell three of your friends.

What better way to ring in the New Year than with a free CD and a warm reminder of what it is that makes Jeff Timmons more than a former boy-band member. Timmons is back; well-rounded, more talented than ever with a wiser sense of self that will show audiences worldwide that this man has the ability to reawaken the love of music within us all.
