Nick Lachey packs boxes with Greater Boston Food Bank CEO Catherine D’Amato at the Food Bank last night as part of ‘The Everybody Wins Tour.’

Ex-boy bander Nick Lachey, who became a superstar thanks to “Newlyweds,” the reality show he did with ex-wife Jessica Simpson, said he wouldn’t rule out a sequel if, say, he and on-again, off-again galpal Vaness Minnillo were to tie the knot!

“I would never do one the same way,” Lachey told the Track . “But everyone knows how popular reality TV is so I’d never say never.”

Lachey was in town last night helping to sort cans and packaged food at the Greater Boston Food Bank as part of “The Everybody Wins Tour,” sponsored by his latest venture, Winnit.com, a reverse auction Web site.

Lachey, who packed beef stew, peaches, beans and rice for delivery to seniors in Lynn, will hit New York, Philadelphia and L.A. over the next 11 days to raise awareness for Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief-charity.

“It’s important that we all do what we can to raise awareness,” he said. “People need to donate their time, their money and their canned goods.”

The former 98 Degrees frontman, who is currently working on a new CD, said his favorite food when he comes to Boston is lobster.

“Whether it’s true or not, I feel like it’s fresher and better up here,” he said, but added that the “be all and end all” for him is really mint chip ice cream.

Lachey, a big football fan and USC fanatic, said he likes the Patriots [team stats] chances this year, but thinks they have a tough road ahead.

“It’s not going to be easy, even though Brady is back,” he said. “But they have a great coach.”

And as for the sad news that his ex, Jessica Simpson, lost her beloved dog, Daisy, to a coyote, Nick said he’s bummed about it too.

“She was my dog too,” he said. “I loved her. It’s very sad that she’s gone.’
