Celebrities support Hawaiian charity triathlon for adoption

The Tag the World celebrity triathlon will pair celebrities with 30 foster kids for the event in Honolulu, Hawaii. The celebrity event will benefit a Hawaiian charity that raises awareness and funds for the children in foster care in Hawaii. It Takes an Ohana is a charity that supports adopting children out of foster care and keeping the public are of the many local children who need families.

The list of celebrities includes stars from many different Hollywood genres. Movies actors involved with the charity event include James Franco and Pauly Shore. Numerous soap opera actors will be participating in the triathlon, including Kyle Lowder from the Bold and the Beautiful and Days of Our Lives, Darin Brooks from Days of Our Lives, Arianne Zucker from Days of Our Lives.

Other TV celebrities include: Drew Lachey from Dancing With the Stars, Andy Baldwin from The Bachelor, Mehcad Brooks from True Blood, Jeremy Jackson from Baywatch, Clayne Crawford from CSI, Rebecca Mader from Lost and Ryan Eggold from 90210.

Other celebrities who will take part in the charity event include women's soccer star Mia Hamm and supermodel Amber Valletta.

The triathlon will take place on Hawaii's Big Island on August 23, 2009. The charity is still recruiting celebrities and expects to have more signed before the event. Past Tag the World events have been attended by Wilmer Valderrama and Shia LeBeouf.
