Hunky singer Nick Lachey doesn’t only bring home the bacon for himself and his gf, Vanessa Minnillo. Now he’s also helping to provide food to many of the 35 million Americans who don’t even know where their next meal is coming from.

That’s because Nick has recently teamed up with V8 juice as a part of their new “Make Every Serving Count” campaign for Feeding America, which provides more than 30 million servings of fresh vegetables and fruit to local food banks.

On Tuesday, Nick traveled up to the local food bank of West Harlem to distribute the first of these fruits and veggies which will continue its disbursement to the hungry across the country.

“I started working with Feed America a few years ago in my hometown of Cincinnati,” Nick tells CGG. “I saw firsthand how hunger is affecting my neighbors. The issue is more relevant now than ever. Food banks are seeing through some of the worst times because resources are down but demand is up.”

Now you too can help grant someone their next meal as well, because from Sept. 2008 to Feb. 9, purchasing V8 products will support their $1 million donation to the hungry!

We say: So looong, Chicken of the Sea… Helloooo V8 juice!
